Published my first article on www.ezinearticles.com!

A week ago, I submitted an article to www.ezinearticles.com.  It was under review for a couple days as part of their procedure, which is a good thing because this process ensures that only quality articles go into the repository.  Note that I’m not trying to suggest that my article is top notch.

The article I wrote was on the topic of Procrastination, which is, incidentally a blog post on my other blog.

For those of you who are wondering why I’m doing so – actually, I’m entering the arena of internet marketing.  Submitting a quality article is a win-win situation.  Some of the benefits are:

  1. You benefit others when you share your knowledge and experience.
  2. You benefit yourself as you’ll get exposure to more readers, which brings more traffic to your site.
  3. You hone your article writing skills – refining your writing skills actually helps you to think better.
  4. You review concepts and lessons which you’ve learnt subconsciously, as writing about them actually brings them to your awareness.
  5. From the statistics, you can get feedback on where you stand on your level of thinking.
  6. You create backlinks to your website, which is good for driving traffic and increasing your PageRank.
  7. You get branded as an expert author on ezine! lol.  Which is good as it’ll motivate to write even better articles.

The other cool thing about ezine is that it automatically updates your twitter account.  When your article gets approved, it actually twits an update.  I was surprised when my twitterfox (firefox add-on for twitter) popped up with my own message! :)

Here’s the link to the article on ezine.
